21/05/2008
Online backup and storage service MemoPal gives you a hefty 250 gigs for $99 a year. It will automatically back up your system so that you won't have to remind yourself to do so. You can configure it to back up just your documents, and certain files (custom), or you can have it back up your entire system. All your data is secured over a 448 bit encryption system. Besides that, with Memopal you can easily send large files over 1 GB to friends and co-workers. Access is available from any computer with internet. Any modifications to any of your files will be saved in real time (version tracking is available as well); also if you accidently delete a file from your computer, it will still be on Memopal. A free trial version is available.
Why it might be a killer
Backing up your computer is a must; however, many people put it off or leave it until it's too late. If your computer breaks down or is victim of some unfortunate catastrophe, you'd be out of luck. Memopal, however, makes things simple. It will backup all your files for you, and you'll have instant access to them wherever there's an internet connection available.
