Motherboard went bad
"My junior year of college, I had the worst experience with my laptop. I lost all of my Word documents, pictures and music, because the motherboard went bad. All of my saved data could not be retrieved. I was so upset! Being that it was my junior year at school I had loads of class notes and projects stored on my computer. It was difficult to explain to my professors why I did not have my assignments on time. I was devastated that I had lost all of my photos from the beginning of college, too. I can never revive those memories with new friends. To ensure that I never have to go through that again, I have stored my photos on an internet website as well as a CD. I have also taken advantage of my email server, who allows you to store documents on the web. I never want to lose that much useful and memorable data, so I make sure to have a backup for everything I save on my computer."
