I lost music, documents, resumes and installed software
" Once, quite stupidly, I performed a hard reset on my Dell Optiplex 660, running Microsoft Windows 2000 . Needless to say, Windows 2000 was not pleased with this action, and opted to refrain from booting . A fresh install of Microsoft Windows XP rectified this situation, devouring around a hundred gigabytes of accumulated data in the process. I lost music, documents, resumes, installed software from obscure corners of the worldwide web. Not everything was bad though I had many different backups of important files on USB Flash Drives, DVD-Rs , and stashed in my google gmail account. It took me roughly three days to completely recover . All in all, the loss wasn't that bad. "
