Desktop freezes up
"I have lost data such as word documents when my desktop freezes up and I have to shut down the computer and reboot however I lost my whole hard drive in one case. My computer would not open any programs, documents and pictures so after days of trying to run antivirus programs, I lost all hope of being able to recover anything on the hard drive. I found a recovery disk that wiped the memory clean as if I just bought the computer. I lost six years of information from pictures of families to legal documents to my medical billing company documents. While I would make periodic backups, I am currently doing backups weekly to avoid this disaster again."
