Backup Mp3
"A few years ago I had a laptop with a 20 GB hard drive. The computer was pretty old so it was not running well but I decided to use it anyways. I ended up with about 2-3 GB of MP3 files that I had ripped from my CD collection. The files were stored in an MP3 directory on the C drive of the machine. One day I was using the computer and it went to the Blue Screen of Death. I shut off power to the machine and restarted only to read the message Operating System not Found (I was using Windows 98SE).
Obviously, my MP3s were history. They were very important to me because I had just sold off my CD's that were ripped to make the digital files. I was left without MP3's and without CDs. This was horrible for me as listening to music is a necessity in my life. After finally giving up on the laptop and my music collection, I bought a new laptop and an external hard drive to back things up to. Now I back up every day and feel secure since the chances of both units failing at the same time is minute."
